A Wall Between Us

Two German scientists trying to belong.

Two border vigilantes on a secret mission.

Two unlikely lovers.

And 220 cardboard boxes.

Single Shoe Productions'  A WALL BETWEEN US combines video projection, visual storytelling and illusions to interweave three revealing stories, examining our need to belong to a place, how this affects us, others, and the land itself.

Running time 90min no interval

Age guidance 12+

There’s nothing objectionable in the show but younger audience members might not connect with the more complex themes of the show.

A bit about the process:

The creation of this piece began in 2018. What started as a genetic test, slowly grew into a question of belonging: we shared our personal stories of immigration and we asked collaborators, immigrants and refugees about their stories.

We then spoke to geologists and after many exchanges, A WALL BETWEEN US started taking shape. We hope audiences enjoy this piece of theatre which would not have been possible without the generous time and talent gifted to us.
